With the new Blazer disappointing ardent Chevrolet fans in 2019, looks like the car giant is trying to make up for letting the fans down by introducing the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV.
Chevy failed to impress those who were looking for the off-road rugged SUV to make a comeback by shutting their imaginations down with the two-row mid-size crossover SUV in 2019.
If this new initiative will be another nail in that coffin or will be welcomed with open arms, is absolutely up to the fans to decide.
Yes, the 2024 model year for Chevrolet Blazer will be witnessing a new additional powertrain to the Blazer nameplate an all-electric one.
While Chevy has prepped the Blazer EV to rival the likes of Mustang and Tesla, the pressure against the SS trim to hit 60 mph in less than four seconds piles up as the car giant swears to deliver that.
But, do not fret, there are other trims too with better help to your pocket.
When can I buy the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV?
If you are looking to buy the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV then you need not wait longer than a few months as the Chevrolet Blazer EV will be made available in the Summer of 2023.
The 2024 model year will see the Blazer EV for the first time and even though we are not completely aware of every detail yet, we know we can expect Chevy to deliver this time.
As of now, we haven’t received an official release date, but expect the booking to open soon.
What is the cost of the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV?
The 2024 Blazer EV will be made available in four trims, 1LT, 2LT, RS and SS. The Blazer EV will not fit into the cost-effective box but looks like to keep up with Tesla and Mustang it cannot be very wallet-friendly.
The entry-level trims 1LT and the 2LT are priced at $44,995 and $47,595 respectively and the price shoots up after this.
The next trim that is also the most recommended would be the RS trim which is priced at $51,995.
The range-topping, top-end trim would be the SS trim priced at $65,995.
What engine will the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV get?
Since the Blazer EV will be seeing the light of day for the very first time this summer, many details have not been clarified yet.
But as of now, from what we have, as expected, they will have an all-electric powertrain.
The battery capacity and details have not been announced yet neither the horsepower, well except the fact that the SS trim, will deliver 557 horsepower.
The 1LT trim will only be available with front-wheel drive while the 2LT trim will get the option to pick the all-wheel drive.
The RS trim, which comes as the most recommended, will get a rear-wheel or front-wheel drive system with the all-wheel as optional.
Only the SS trim will get the standard all-wheel-drive system standard in all vehicles.
What is the range offered by the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV?
With the Blazer EV still remaining a mystery on many fronts, we got only some information about the battery size or the range it is said to offer.
The reason RS trim is the most recommended is that it is the only one that is prepped to rival the likes of Mustang and the rest in that range and is expected to get 320 miles per charge.
The 1LT and 2LT are expected to offer 247 and 293 miles per charge respectively. The SS trim, which is said to be the range-topping one, will be expected to deliver 290 miles per charge.
Is the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV worth buying?
It is still too early to write off the SUV and even to put it on the recommended list, we need more on-road numbers and performance to come to that conclusion.
But as of now, if you are a fan of the Blazer and prefer saving up your gas money and quiet cabin, then Blazer EV should not be out of the list of most recommended.
