Land Rover is stopping at none when it comes to prepping the luxurious Range Rover SUV for the 2024 model year and we just got the juicy details.
Not only will it get overloved with abundant upgrades and tech, but it will also be getting a new engine setup for the plug-in hybrid variants.
Newest Addition!
Yes, the range-topping model has been upgraded to an SV trim called the P615 which will be getting a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V-8 engine which is set to deliver 606 horsepower for this luxurious SUV.
The goodness of the new trim does not stop there as the new upgrade can be expected to zoom into the 60 mph mark in 4.3 seconds.
Plug-In Hybrid Gets Pumped Up!
No, there is no new plug-in hybrid trim but, that does not stop the Land Rover from giving the plug-in models mighty upgrades for the new year.
The old P440e plug-in hybrid variant of the Range Rover will be getting a name change to the new P550e, it also gets a mighty boost in horsepower as the variant has jumped from delivering 434 horsepower to 542 horsepower.
And it is all thanks to the new electric motor with added 215 horsepower which gets along well with the 3.0-litre six-cylinder under the hood which gets the luxury SUV hit 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds.
But this elusive powerup with the upgraded P550e will be only available to those who pick the Autobiography trim.
But another drop for the US residents is that the base level trim, SE will no longer be available with the 434 horsepower delivering P440e variant.
The Autobiography trim might be the exclusive owner of the P550e variant but the new powered-up 48-volt hybrid system seen in it will also be the setup in the P530 variant delivering 523 horsepower that will be a part of the SE and Autobiography models.
The range of the plug-in might be hiked in a manner as we get new improvements, but nothing has been announced yet and if you are wondering how much you can expect then, well with the 434 horsepower engine the plug-in of 2023 delivered 51 miles per charge so you can expect something more depending on the battery power.
New Infotainment System!
The 2024 Range Rover will be upgraded to the newer version of the Land Rover infotainment system, the Pivi Pro which will be adding sliding control options to control the volume and climate.
New Features!
The 2024 Range Rover will get Country Road Assist which is set for narrower lane roads with curves ahead of your journey and is also said to be the more adaptive version of the adaptive cruise control.
The 2024 Range Rover will also be borrowing the adaptive off-road cruise control system and Dynamic Response Pro system from the Range Rover Sport.
SV Bespoke customization
And yes, you can go through all seven levels of customisation also called the SV Bespoke customization either virtually or by visiting the SV Bespoke Commissioning Suite in the UK.
The customisation range is no joke as you have an extensive set of colours and wheels and even metal of the name tag that you can make it all unique and yours.
But all of this customisation will be only available for the Autobiography or SV variants.
2024 Range Rover Price Tag!
The base model, SE with the P400 six-cylinder will get a price tag of $108,750 and with P530 it shoots up to $131,750.
And the P530 in the Autobiography trim is priced at $167,750. While the plug-in hybrid variant P550e gets a tag of $142,450.
The SV model gets only one powertrain but it has enough to spew luxury on every nook and corner for your comfort so it gets a price tag of $210,350
