2023 Volkswagen Taos Reviews, Price, Specifications

While Volkswagen Taos dropped as one of the most desired and sought-after compact SUVs in the line of German car giant Volkswagen’s SUV lineup, we are all ready to welcome the newest 2023 Volkswagen Taos too.

Taos from Volkswagen has the heart of many people around the world with its amazingly spacious interior and quality deliverance, all the while with no drop in fuel efficiency compared to the others, which has made Taos one of the most sought-after SUVs.

While Volkswagen’s loyal passengers would not give up on the company no matter what, the car giant, on the other hand, has never given them a reason to give up.

Taos gets some updates and retains its all-popular name and demand even with the mild updates it gets. It still remains loved and adorably priced.

One thing that got everyone tripping over Taos is that even though it is the smallest SUV in Volkswagen’s heavily adorned SUV line, it still gets called spacious among users, making it naturally a curious choice.

While the world just witnessed Taos a few years back, it has steadily taken its place among VW’s star-studded line.

2023 Volkswagen Taos Overview:

Taos came up and made the noise it rightfully should with everything it offers. Taos falls under the subcompact SUV range, and nothing else about it is subpar, not even its price.

Volkwagen’s Taos came to quench the thirst of many, but it has enough rivals, well over 20, so it is a surprise that the subcompact SUV managed to survive in the heavy and harsh market.

With SUVs being in demand all around the world, Taos offers the right amount of everything a passenger wants.

Taos is the smallest among Volkswagen’s SUV lineup, yet it offers plenty of space for both passengers and cargo, even with the second row completely intact.

It has been praised for its fuel efficiency given that it offers all-wheel drive as an option in every model, it does not come as a surprise.

While these features are said to come with expensive SUVs, Taos retains its humility and comes out with a reasonably cost-effective price range, making it even unique for loyal customers.

Volkswagen’s Taos ranks fourth among Mazda’s CX-30, Hyundai’s Kona, Kia’s Soul, Hyundai Kona N and Kia Seltos.

What is the price of Volkswagen Taos 2023?

Volkswagen Taos 2023 retains its humble roots and begins at an amount of $24,155 for the basic S model with a destination charge of $1,295.

The top-end line, SEL Model, begins at a price of $34,535, while the Midtrim SE models are priced at $28,925.

While the all-wheel drive comes as a standard option for all SEL models, other variants can also have it by paying an extra $2,340 for S variants and $1,450 for the SE variants.

While the price might be higher compared to other rivals in the area, Taos offers quality and better efficiency.

Under the hood

Even though Volkswagen Taos brings to the table only a turbocharged 1.5-litre 4-cylinder, which pulls the speed of 158 horses alone, it still makes the best out of it and is said to be peppier than all of its rivals.

In terms of transmission, while its other rivals pick up the oft-maligned continuously variable transmission (CVT), Taos goes for actual gears.

All-wheel drive models bring in a touch of luxury to Taos by using a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, while front-wheel drive vehicles have an 8-speed automatic.

Even with its downsides and nitpicks, Taos still stands as one of the sought-after vehicles, so it is better you take it out on a drive and decide for yourself.

What’s new in Volkswagen Taos 2023?

Well, to be honest, there are no major updates that can excite fans, but it does get some notable updates in some models.

For example, SEL variants get a mandatory Panoramic sunroof. And the most common enhancements across all variants would be in the drover-assistance tech.

Driver assistance features include an automatic emergency braking system, pedestrian monitoring, forward collision warning, blind spot monitor and rear traffic alerts. These updates are available in every variant from the basic S model.

If you go for an all-wheel drive add-on in the base S model, then you get 18-inch wheels, too, instead of the default 17-inch.

Even though Taos did not get many updates, it still retains its spot among one of the best subcompact SUVs out there, and if you are a loyal Volkswagen enthusiast, then you should love this one too.
