While Ford maintains its stand in the pickup truck area, 2023 Ford Maverick comes back with another updated version for the 2023 model.
While the truck has been praised as an exceptional value and has a perfect hybrid option, it also has a thoughtfully designed and crafted interior. One of the variants that have received high praise is the hybrid variant.
Even though the Ford variant has a lot of areas lacking, it does have its advantages. Especially when it comes to fuel efficiency and how well the bed design is done, it could also fit into your garage with ease.
While it is still not on par with Hyundai’s Santa Cruz, it lacks in towing capacity, small back seats and more features than one might expect in their pickup given that they are paying the hiked-up price by Ford.
While another disadvantage many have had with the previous version of Ford Maverick is that it rides jostle, and the basic level trim is beyond basic.
While Ford came out with some hiked prices, the basic level truck has very little to offer compared to others and lacks many features or other areas.
Ford Maverick 2023 is already available and open for booking. Please visit your nearby Ford dealership and book your 2023 model Ford Maverick immediately.
The deliveries have already begun since the Fall of this year, so you can visit the showroom nearby to take the truck on a trial run and know for yourself how effective it is.
Ford keeps the Maverick running with three trims: XL, XLT, and Lariat. While XL remains the base model, it comes up with a price of $23,670.
While people prefer XL as it is the most cost-effective, it has its own disadvantages of lack of many features but still makes up for being a good truck.
The next preferred one would be the XLT variant is rightfully called the user’s choice by rolling out with 17-inch aluminium wheels, cruise control, a power lock for the tailgate, power exterior mirrors, and so much more and comes with the price of $25,930.
While the Lariat variants dance between the range of $29,000, the most expensive one in the lineup would be the XLT Tremor Off-Road which comes with a price tag of $31,000.
Ford is making up for the disadvantages by adding the new and the most expensive version in the Maverick line XLT Tremor Off-Road for the 2023 Ford Maverick.
Details on the variant have yet to be officially announced, but we can see that it has a relatively rugged exterior look and can be off any XLT or based on Lariat trim.
Even though this is only available with all-wheel drive vehicles with non-hybrid powertrains, this version also gets a boost in height compared to the older models. And they also get some updates in the transmission cooler and half shafts to fight better and rough conditions.
The Off-Road variant also comes with Ford’s Trail Control system. It can get personalised exteriors by adding some mirror caps, body graphics and a grey colour roof, all of which are optional, along with other visible default exterior changes made.
The fuel efficiency is good and something that can be considered better than its rivals. The estimates as of now for the hybrid variants are 42 mpg in the city and 33mpg highway.
While the non-hybrid gives the opposite of 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg highway with front-wheel drive, and when it comes to all-wheel drive, it provides 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg highway.
All the trims come with a default 2.5-liter four-cylinder and an electric motor with 191-hp for front-wheel drive vehicles with a continuously variable automatic transmission.
While the non-hybrid powertrain goes for a 250-hp turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with optional all-wheel drive and eight-speed auto transmission.
The non-hybrid powertrain is a little peppy and reaches 60 mph in 5.9 seconds, while the hybrid powertrain is less perky and needs 7.7 seconds to reach 60 mph.
While the interior for the base model is beyond basic, the remaining variants come up with some extra features. In terms of space and seating, there have been no complaints.
The infotainment system has an 8.0-inch touchscreen equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, where every variant, including the base one, comes with a wi-fi hotspot.
The safety features are up to standard, and the more you require in the area of driving assistance, the more you should be willing to pay.

You can pick the base hybrid powertrain and still come up with the variant offering you a payload capacity of 1500 pounds and a towing capacity of 2000 pounds.
It can offer a towing capacity of 4000 pounds with additional towing packages and a non-hybrid turbocharged four-cylinder powertrain.
