It looks like it’s high time that Lotus also joins other big names in the automobile realm and trades its stubborn ways for new and improved ones and one of them is the 2024 Lotus Eletre.
Lotus has been known for its high-performance race cars that grace the roads in their slim ways and lightweight making it a beacon in the industry but looks like they have given up being just that.
The Lotus for the first time ever has decided to go for the whole SUV hype and not just stick with race cars and given that Ferrari is dropping its stubborn ways and going for the SUV too Lotus will have some big shoes to fill or rival.
The SUV will take some weight on given that it will need it to carry the heavy battery around but do not fret, that does not mean all bad as the weight add-on is what brings in all the higher acceleration that already got many eyes sparkling.
The strong acceleration is supposedly set to deliver 600 horsepower and that is what Lotus has to rival big names like Lamborghini, Audi and BMW with their very own rivals.
The first-ever SUV by Lotus, the 2024 Lotus Eletre has not yet received an official release date. But the electric SUV is all set to launch anytime in 2023 and that is why it has gotten the 2024 model year tag.
All three trims will be launched in one go and you would not have to wait for separate or delayed launches.

The 2024 Lotus Eletre gets a price tag that is not really pocket friendly but these costs come out with just what experts have predicted and the official price chart has not been announced yet.
The 2024 Lotus Eletre will get three trims for the 2024 launch. The Base model, Base will get a price tag of $84,500 which is recommended by many even though it remains as the base model.
The mid-level trim, S is expected to get a price tag of $98,500 and is still in the recommended trim while the range-topping trim, R is expected to get an expensive price tag of $113,000.
The range offered in the 2024 Lotus Eletre with 112.0-kWh battery capacity differs for the base and mid-level trim compared to the range-topping trim.
The Base trim and the S trim will offer an expected range of 375 miles per charge in the European WLTP and that would make the American rating stick to 315 miles per charge.
But the range-topping R trim will be offering 302 miles per charge on the European WLTP cycle while it delivers a staggering 250 miles per charge on the American system.
The base powertrain for the 2024 Lotus Eletre is expected to offer 603 horsepower with a dual motor, all-wheel drive set-up.
The S trim gets the same set-up and both the trims zooms into the 62 mph mark in 4.5 seconds. The R trim delivers 905 horsepower and goes from 0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds.
The details on the seats in the 2024 Lotus Eletre has not yet been announced officially but you can expect it to go both ways.
There are chances that the 2024 Lotus Eletre will get bucket seats both in the front and the rear and become a four-seater or it may get a rear bench and that makes it a five-seater.
