The Nissan Sentra has managed to get into most of the list we have put together as the sedan speaks volumes when it comes to safety, reliability and family.
The Nissan Sentra has remained over the years and has updated and is ready to take over the road but the ones that seem to get hyped over it are the economical or budget shoppers.
One thing the Sentra fails at is getting the performance part done as the powertrain needs more than just a few tweaks to top the rivals the Sentra is pitted against.
But overall the sedan remains as one of the best options for a family car and that is why Nissan has not rooted it out of the lineup still.
The advantageous part of the Nissan Sentra is the plethora of safety features it provides and the affordability tag it comes with as the price tag on the current vehicles is no joke.
Even with the medium performance and highly safe persona, the sedan manages to get into the 2024 model year automobile market.
The 2024 Nissan Sentra will not be the preferred choice for those who prefer all-wheel drive as all the trims drop only with front-wheel drive and no optional drives are offered.
The 2024 Nissan Sentra has not received a specific launch date yet but Nissan is expected to drop the 2024 model year Sentra in late 2023.
Even with all the advantages and the disadvantages, the Nissan Sentra spruces through as it has become a reliable family sedan.
And with these advantages, the sedan has managed to rank 6th amongst its rivals in the same arena.
The affordability tag on the Nissan Sentra has been retained and the new model year will also see three trims, S, SV and SR.
The base trim, S will be priced at $22,000 while the recommended and better among the trims, SV the mid-trim is priced at $23,000.
The range-topping trim, SR is said to be priced at $25,000. But take this estimated price chart with a pinch of salt, as the actual price chart from the Nissan HQ has not been released yet.
Well, it is given that the Nissan Sentra needs to get some work done but the redesign sticks to the visuals for the 2024 model year.
The Nissan Sentra gets redesigned from the inside out. Right from the headlights to the taillights and more of the Sentra gets swapped for new designs.
The Nissan Sentra gets a new centre console courtesy of Nissan’s Rogue while the infotainment gets swapped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen.
But when it comes to the powertrain or other complaints, no details have been announced of any changes yet.
The engine performance of the Sentra has not been tested yet but as of now, we have no announcement of any engine change for the new model year.
The previous models had the 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine standard on all three trims which was paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission delivering 149 horsepower.
All the models were only available with front-wheel drive. The Nissan Sentra’s biggest disadvantage remains that it is slow and that the engine is noisy.
While the rivals are big names in all-rounder categories, we can see why it drops down the list fast and is not on top of the list.

Even though the details of the Nissan Sentra in regards to fuel economy are not announced, we can guess that there won’t be many changes as the only remodelling has been done to the visual angle.
The S and SV trims offer a fuel economy of 29 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway while the range-topping SR trim offers 28 mpg in the city and 37 on the highway.
As of now, the major changes announced for the redesigned Nissan Sentra are the centre console and the change in the infotainment centre.
The centre console will adapt the Nissan’s Rogue designs and tech, while the infotainment screen will be swapped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen.
No other material change or upholstery change has been announced for the interior yet.
The only reason the Nissan Sentra has stayed in this competitive market is that it is reliable.
Nothing else has managed to impress the buyers other than the fact that it is reliable and affordable.
