When Will the Kia EV9 be Available?

KIA, the younger sibling of Hyundai, is taking after it more than you can tell off, and the new Kia EV9, which is set for 2023, is the talk of the town already.

It was revealed that Kia would also join the other brands in walking towards an electric future. Kia EV6 has done the trial for the future, and after its success, it’s time for the new EV9, the first flagship electric crossover SUV to take the roads.

With a lot of details under cover still, Kia is expected to make a perfect electric SUV launch, and with a lot of competitors switching over to the electric track, we are yet to witness what Kia will do to outperform all its rivals.

When can I buy an EV9?

The Kia EV9’s first flagship electric crossover SUV is set to be launched and delivered by the end of 2023.

Kia hasn’t announced an exact date or month yet, but with the way things are proceeding, there are reports that the SUV will be available by the first half or quarter of 2023.

How much does the Kia EV9 cost?

The estimated starting price of the Kia EV9 is $50,000. Kia has not yet announced the number of trims or price tag attached to each variant yet, so we would have to wait for more to know the exact numbers.

The estimates have been done by taking into consideration everything that has been said to be found in the new SUV.

With the Kia Telluride starting off at the 30k mark, it takes up after that and reaches the 50k mark with its higher trims.

What is the range of the Kia EV9?

The estimated range for Kia EV9 is said to be 300 miles and higher as of now. With Kia keeping a lot of details about the SUV under wraps, we just have a ballpark range.

That will give the new EV9 a proper start in the whole new EV SUV arena, but Kia better comes up with something better to give it a proper edge in the race.

What powertrain will the Kia EV9 have?

Well, as the name suggests, the fully electric SUV will have an Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) platform same as the one the Hyundai sibling shares.

It is said that the battery capacity will be higher than the 240 kilowatts mark, but Kia has confirmed nothing else about the EV.

How will the Kia EV9 exterior be?

With Kia being too low-key about the EV9 details, we have collected as much as we can on the way the SUV will appear on the exterior.

The concept of the EV9 exterior is still expected to follow the 2021 announcement model with changes to the exterior from many angles.

The EV9 will retain its boxy proportion and add the rugged look yet deliver some changes in angles, which will be revealed later.

Is the Kia EV9 a 7-seater?

Yes, Kia EV9 will be a three-rowed, seven-seater crossover SUV with a fully electric powertrain.

In regards to passenger or cargo space, we are yet to find out what Kia has in store.

Will Kia EV9 be available in the USA?

As of now, the KIA HQ have not given any updates or reports on the availability of the Kia EV9 in the US.

But there are chances that we might get more updates on that front sooner, so until its launch in the first half of 2023, we cannot predict the availability.

With only a few three-rowed electric SUVs in the market, the Kia already has one plus point, and that would be the estimated cost.

If KIA sticks to delivering a good SUV by keeping that cost, it can easily rival other SUVs and take over the three-rowed electric SUV market.

We make it our duty to update you on everything that is happening in the auto realm so stay tuned to Autoscooper if you are looking to book the Kia EV9.
